Opinion poll says Indian men prefer Poonam Jhawer to Veena Malik and Sunny Leone

 

An online opinion poll conducted by website mumbaiwire.in on Facebook has found that 60 per cent of Indian men between the age group of 25 to 40 found Indian actress and item girl Poonam Jhawer sexier, hotter and more desirable than Veena Malik and Sunny Leone put together.

Veena Malik is in the news as several organizations like the Indian Artistes and Actors Forum (IAAF) supported by several politicians cutting across party lines and actors including the CINTAA have strongly opposed her inclusion in the show Veena Malik ka Swayamvar. Canadian hardcore porn star of Indian descent Sunny Leone is currently a guest on the reality show Bigg Boss 5 on Colors channel.

According to Munish Arya one of the respondents, Poonam Jhawer is someone who is very Indian. “She is a desi girl and very natural. Her assets are natural, while Sunny Leone is plastic. The less said about Veena Malik the better,” he wrote in his comments.

Poonam Jhawer is the latest to support the IAAF. “There are so many drama queens, item girls, controversial models and the like in India. I do not understand why Imagine has to zero in only on Veena Malik. Shouldn’t Indian channels give priority to Indian women,” she asked. The IAAF has launched a protest on their Facebook page facebook.com/Indian.Artistes.Forum and is in the process of enlisting support online.

 

Ameesha Yadav: “I will undertake a nude SlutWalk March if Veena Ka Swayamvar goes on air”

South actress Ameesha Yadav has threatened to undertake a nude Slutwalk March or Besharmi Morcha in Mumbai if the Reality Show Veena Ka Swayamvar is aired by the general entertainment channel Imagine. Speaking to this reporter Ameesha Yadav – a member of the Indian Artistes and Actors Forum said, “Our forum has decided not to allow the telecast of the show. We have planned different methods of protest against the show. Some models and myself have decided to undertake a nude, silent Slutwalk March or Besharmi Morcha if the show is aired by Imagine.”

The Indian Artistes and Actors Forum (IAAF) had announced earlier that it will not allow the telecast of the Veena Malik ka Swayamvar Swayamvar Reality Show on General Entertainment Channel Imagine.

Flynn Remedios, publicist and spokesperson for the IAAF said that the IAAF – a representative body of actors and artistes is not against any one individual in particular. “We are against this trend of selecting foreign artistes for common roles in Indian television and films. Thousands of Indian girls go through hell trying to get a bit role in a TV serial or a film. These production houses and channels must understand the sentiments and feelings of thousands of Indian artistes and actors. Veena Malik is no great or unique actor or artiste. She is merely an item girl and starlet and is very much replaceable by so many Indian artistes. What is the USP that Veena Malik brings to the show, except for the fact that she is non-Indian. The channel is trying to stir up controversy and increase their own TRPs. We will teach them a lesson that they won’t forget. We will not damage their office or protest like some others have done. We will ask all patriotic Indians and Indian companies to stop watching or supporting Imagine and all other shows on the particular channel and this show in particular. This is our action plan for now. We will also approach the courts at a later date if the channel does not relent,” said Flynn Remedios, adding, “Right now we have over 200 members supporting this agitation from among artistes, junior artistes and actors all over India. Our forum is open to all actors and artistes including singers, dancers, junior artistes, etc from India. Each day we have more and more people coming forward in support of this cause.”

Ameesha Yadav did not specify in which city the nude, silent Slutwalk March will be held, but added that “they are considering various options. We will go ahead with our plan once the channel officially announces the dates of the show.”

The grey market that circulates such mms videos and films is making good money as the video clip is being sold for Rs 50.” The mms is about 8 minutes long and is also being circulated via Bluetooth among college students in Chennai, Bangalore and other south-Indian towns where the actor is a popular star.

Fake Pen Drives, Memory Cards on sale at Churchgate, CST Stations in Mumbai

Lakhs of fake and spurious Pen Drives and Memory Cards of reputed brands like Transcend, Kingston, etc, of varying capacities from 2 GB to 128 GB have entered Mumbai and are being freely circulated and sold particularly at railway stations at highly discounted prices.

For example a 32 GB pen drive that would normally be available between Rs 2500 to Rs 3500 – depending on where you buy it from it being sold for Rs 350 at Churchgate and CST railway stations. These fake and spurious pen drives and memory cards have special hidden software or device drivers pre-installed on them that makes them look like the real thing and correctly displays the capacity of the device when inserted into a computer. However, if one formats the device, it immediately becomes unusable because the hidden device driver software – – that is used to fake users into believing that the capacity of the drive is much higher – gets deleted. The device can barely store a few GB of data but claims to store anything from 32 GB to even 128 GB. The 128 GB fake pen drives are being sold for Rs 1000 while the 64 GB pen drives sell for Rs 500 to Rs 650 depending on how much you bargain with the road-side vendors.

What is very surprising is how the international brands like Kingston and Transcend who are officially present in India through their dealers and distributors have not taken any action against such fake products and the vendors that sell them in broad daylight? Or are the distributors and representatives of these brands hand-in-glove with these black marketers? Given the fact that the fake products are openly sold even in some stationery stores in a very crowded and prime locations, the brands must be taking a beating as many unsuspecting customers who buy the products may not realize that they are very clever fakes and may fault the brand when the product fails.

Firoz Nadiadwala supports NGO Anhad

Pooja Missra may know how to stick on in the Bigg Boss house, but she is definitely not the most liked inmate. Her behavior and attitude have been drawing a lot of flak and strong reactions from people inside and outside the Bigg Boss house.

Pooja Bedi’s half-brother Adam Bedi has hit out very strongly against the tirade launched by Pooja Missra. According to Adam Bedi Siddharth Khanna  and he who both appeared on the show `Big Switch last year remembers Pooja as an overly aggressive individual.

“I have zilch knowledge about Pooja Missra`s life. Since I have done a show with her, I know she is a highly insecure person. Whether she consumes something to get a high is not my concern. But whether she is mentally ill is a million dollar question. She loves looking down upon people. During ‘Big Switch’, we realized there was nothing we could do to calm her down. That`s how she is”, said Adam, speaking to the media.

Siddhartha Khanna, who won ‘Big Switch’ (aired on UTV’s Bindaas) said that he  was punched, pulled by Pooja Missra and even got scratch marks  and bruises on his neck. “She is a psycho bitch. She should be kept in an asylum for the sake of humanity. The day she held me by my throat, I stopped speaking to her. Give her the gun and she will definitely kill you. Her split personality is beyond my understanding.”

Not to be left behind another hot-blooded  aggressive participant Shraddha Sharma screamed her lungs out at Pooja Bedi saying, “Pooja apni umar ka lihaaz karle, Tujhe koi aunty ka role bhi nahi deta”, “Pooja Bedi hai kaun?”

These comments against Pooja Bedi were not taken lightly by Adam Bedi. “Pooja’s kids also watch their mother on the show. Shradha Sharma should understand that.

Mahek’s defiance about being evicted from the reality show, reflects how strong a candidate she believes she is. When Mahek was nominated this week, she rebelliously announced to the other Housemates that she isn’t worried. “Harr hafte (nominate) karo, aur (main) harr hafte chapaat doongi tum logon ke mooh par… jin logon ne nominate kiya hai,” she claimed.
